South East Water - Fleet, Hampshire

As part of an £11 million, 11km pipeline upgrade, GDS provided the trenchless design for a 1,000-metre, 560mm water main installed 26 metres beneath North Hants Golf Club using horizontal directional drilling — with no disruption to play. We worked the project all the way through on the design side: feasibility, geophysics, geotechnical investigation, UXO archaeological research, detail design, and installation supervision. The trenchless approach cut five months from the programme.

GeoEnergy NI — Stormont Estate Geothermal Demonstrator

Part of the Department for the Economy's £3 million GeoEnergy NI project exploring Northern Ireland's geothermal potential, delivered with the Geological Survey of Northern Ireland and lead contractor Tetra Tech. The Stormont Estate feasibility study involves drilling and testing five boreholes — four hydrogeology boreholes to around 250 metres and one cored to 500 metres — to assess a future geothermal heat network for the Estate.
